DR Vault - Disaster Recovery Solutions - Keep Your Data SAFE
Home Start Now FAQ About Us My Account
How is my data protected?
Your data is encrypted and transferred over the Internet to our secure data-center. Multiple copies of your data are made to various media, including a minimum of 2 separate backup tapes. Data is then replicated and vaulted to a second geographically isolated data center.
Who has access to my data?
Data is encrypted on your computer before being transmitted to our site, using an encryption password that you create. Data is stored in an encrypted format to ensure that no one can access your private data. You have the option to escrow your encryption key so that you can get your data back if you forget the password. For ultimate security, you can elect not to escrow your password; however, if you ever forget it your data will be unusable.
How do I restore files?
The DR-Vault Administrator provides an Explorer-like interface to restore files. Simply check the files or folders you want and click restore. You can redirect files to a different location.
How many versions are kept?
You choose how many versions to maintain. You can select a specific number (such as 5) or you can choose to keep all versions that are less than a given number of days old (1 week, 1 month, etc.)
How will I be charged?
Monthly plans are charged to your credit card at the beginning of your monthly cycle. Your cycle date is the day you signed up for the plan. Yearly plans are charged each year on your cycle date, but are reviewed for overages each month. If you go over your plan amount, you can elect to go to the next level, or you can pay overage charges each month until you fall below your plan limit.
What happens if I go over my plan limit?
Monthly users are billed for overages each month. You can change your plan at any time via the web interface or by calling your sales rep.

Yearly users have the option of automatically incrementing to the next level on a pro-rated basis for the remainder of the term, or paying monthly overages until your usage falls below the plan limit.
How do I change plans or check my usage?
You can change plans or check usage online at any time. Plans will be pro-rated based on the number of days used.
